For the first time our Small Business Development ministry has its own Bible Study. Jeff and Kitson felt led to begin a study group with the producers of Amidon in Lafferonnay. This is a group of people we want to continue to invest in because we can foresee God using them to bring more commerce to Lafferonnay through their combined efforts in Manioc, Amidon production. Uniting this group and getting to know them is happening through a Bible Study.
The BIble study began with the basics. Out of the 7 who attended, only 2 had their own Bibles and only 1 had ever studied it. 5 new Bibles were given and they began by talking about who wrote it, all the different books, and why they are all important (the story they tell.) After covering the basics, they dove right into a study of forgiveness. How we are supposed to forgive others and most importantly how God forgives us. They talked, debated, asked questions, and mulled over the truth in God’s Word.
What is better than people who have never really heard the Good News hearing it right from the scriptures themselves? They learned that Jesus was the plan from the beginning in John 1. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Planned from the beginning to cover all our sins. Not a plan B. THE PLAN. The Good News! God, had a plan, through Jesus, for our forgiveness since before we were born.
God’s Word alive and active, speaking to hearts and working in our small business iniatives. It’s really the whole point, the real deal, the whole shebang.
