All of 2024 proved to be an extremely eventful year for both Haiti and Jamaica! Let's take a quick dive into how the Lord moved through KONBIT, our staff, and our teams.

Job Creation Investment: totaling $2,600; Education Investment: 1000s of school supplies; resourcing over 100 Jamaican children; and one primary school staff: weekly meetings, with four staff salaries paid. Feeding Programs: 16,000 meals served through Meals on 2 Wheels; 4,600 meals served through our emergency feeding program; 400 meals served at outreaches.TOTALING over 21,000 MEALS SERVED TO THE HUNGRY IN HAITI AND JAMAICA! One food bucket delivery in Haiti was made via an armored vehicle, with soldiers on guard. In 2024, our Haitian community investment totaled $37,804.23. That money is poured directly into the Haitian economy through salaries, feeding programs, medical fees and prescription assistance, rent, school scholarships, community outreach, and so much more. Teams: 3 teams served in Jamaica. They provided Vacation Bible School to over 100 children, hosted outreaches feeding hundreds and sharing Jesus, and completed eight community projects (totaling $10,000 in materials alone): 1) Tiled church stairs, 2) Created a church parking lot by moving a mountain, 3) Finished the walls of the church’s kids’ area, 4) Built a gazebo for a youth camp, 5) Landscaped stairs 100 feet downhill to a basketball court, 6) Made volleyball poles for camp, 7) Cleaned up from hurricane Beryl at two churches, 8) Built a community shade gazebo and kid’s play area, Teams Experienced: National dishes, Beach days, Jamaican culture, Daily devotions/debrief, and brought MANY donated supplies. Teams built six chairs for the KONBIT house, and we welcomed and mentored our summer intern. Sports Investment: distributed 100 soccer balls, basketballs, volleyballs, playground balls, and more sports equipment, including 64 ball pumps, basketball nets, volleyball nets, and soccer goals, to individuals and programs. Speaking and Social Media: Rachael shared our mission and vision in KY, NC, TN, IL, & FL. Over 10,000 people were reached with the message of Christ’s love for us and our collective responsibility to meet the needs we see around us through KONBIT’s social media. We provided a spring gift of “bun and cheese” to our neighborhood. Our Haitian staff and Meals on 2 Wheels members went on separate day beach retreats, including a large dinner. We provided dog care for two sweet, slobbering strays, including vet, food, medication expenses, and a front porch “hospital” stay. Monthly movie nights continue, and the community kids love their big night and talking about Jesus afterward. Last but not least, we welcomed a young Haitian man (16) whose US Visa to join his adoptive family has not yet been approved. He has lived with us since July of this year. We have cared for him physically, spiritually, and emotionally for many months. All glory to God for this list, and thank you for partnering with us!

Prayer Requests for KONBIT

  • For our Haitian staff and friends

  • For the innocent people caught in the crossfire as Haiti continues to

deteriorate. The new airport situation has many adoptee families and missionaries in peril as well.

  • For the gangs and other corrupt leaders in Haiti to find their lives of self-centered gain empty, then surrender to the LORD and live a life serving others.

  • For Jamaica as, the churches sit surprisingly empty. They need to experience God's powerful love. We need wisdom for how to serve and bring new ideas without being controlling or condescending.

  • For Priest Rory Honeyghan, for Pastor Prince Morris, for Pastor Fabian

Smith, for Pastor Kevin Page, and for Pastor Errol Williamson. We are all working to advance the kingdom in Jamaica, and these people are on the front lines.

  • For continued guidance as KONBIT makes connections in Jamaica and learns the needs in our surrounding area. For wisdom in hiring for Jamaican site.

  • For financial provision for KONBIT and the Colemans.

  • For our friends, The Smithsons, some of whom are with us in Jamaica as they complete the immigration paperwork for their Haitian son, Dieuphny. This is still in process, fluid, and uncertain, and he is still with us. While he is precious about it, He should be home with his family in the US.

  • For Jeff and Pat Fanger, who serve the Lord alongside KONBIT and whose contributions make a huge difference in Haiti and Jamaica.

  • For the teams and interns planning their summer serving in Jamaica. That God would lead, provide, and encourage them.

  • For the Coleman family:

    • For Kris, as he goes back and forth from Jamaica to the US to work

    • For Rachael and Lydia, as they run the ministry in Jamaica and Haiti while Kris is gone

    • For Levi & Anna (and her husband, Isaiah) while they navigate serving God and growing in their own lives.
